The potential global impacts of the climate crisis are slower to materialise, but much graver than those from Covid-19. Actions to be taken are urgent! In all these years we have known about climate changes, why have we not managed to mobilise a bold collective action to combat this crisis? Dr Saltvedt has paid special interest to two potential explanations that can slow down the green transition; Market Failure (failure of a market to deliver an optimal result) and Path dependency. In this talk she focuses on how to move away from the dependency of the high emission path and to develop a new green path dependence – a new history – a system change that involves the whole society.
