Saeid Hosseini, Co-Founder and CEO of Vilje Bionics, is pioneering the future of wearable robotics. Driven by a desire to make a global impact, Saeid’s work is transforming lives by empowering individuals with arm disabilities to regain independence through cutting-edge assistive devices. At TEDxArendal, Saeid will tell the stories of both the people who need these innovations and the ones developing them.
Saeid Hosseini was born in Tehran, Iran, and moved to Norway in 2011 to join his father, a human rights activist who sought political asylum. Grateful for the opportunities that Norway and the democratic world provided his family, Saeid is driven by a deep desire to make positive contributions globally.
In 2020, at the age of 24, he co-founded Vilje Bionics alongside a professor in robotics, a neurologist, and two fellow students. As CEO, Saeid leads the company in developing the world’s first full-arm assistive device for people with arm paresis, combining shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand support in one innovative system.
With a background in engineering, entrepreneurship, and politics, Saeid is passionate about impact-driven technological and social innovations. His vision is to create a world where technology bridges physical limitations, empowering individuals to live independently and pursue their dreams.
